Haven is a wealth-tracking and financial-independence planning app. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.
Haven does not collect or sell your personal or financial data, and never sends your balances, holdings amounts, or identity to us or to anyone else. Everything you enter — account balances, holdings, property details, goals — is stored only on your device, syncing automatically to your own private iCloud account (which we cannot access) if you're signed into iCloud on that device. We do not run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of any kind. Haven makes only three narrow network requests — currency-rate lookups; current market prices, only if you tap “Fetch Live”; and, on Mac, a one-time download of the AI assistant’s language model, only if you choose to set it up. None of them sends anything about you: only currency codes, asset symbols, or the name of a public model file, as described below.
If you're signed into iCloud on your device, your financial records sync automatically via Apple's private CloudKit database tied to your own Apple ID. This is end-to-end within Apple's infrastructure — we have no access to this data, and Apple does not provide it to us.
Currency rates. To show live currency conversion rates, Haven calls the free,
public Frankfurter
exchange-rate API. This request contains only currency codes (e.g.
base=AUD&symbols=USD,INR) — never your account data, holdings, balances, or any
other personal information. Frankfurter is operated by a third party and may log standard web
request metadata (such as IP address) per its own policy.
Live prices (only if you ask). Haven can fetch current market prices for your
crypto and gold from Coinbase’s
free, public price API — but only when you explicitly tap “Fetch Live”, and only after you
accept a one-time on-screen notice explaining this. That request sends only the asset symbols being
priced (e.g. BTC, ETH, or a gold-price request) — never how much you hold,
your balances, your identity, or any other personal information. Stock prices are never fetched this
way; you enter those yourself. If you never tap “Fetch Live”, this request never happens. Coinbase is
operated by a third party and may log standard web request metadata (such as IP address) per its own
policy.
AI model download (Mac only, only if you set up the Assistant). The on-device assistant needs a language model present on your Mac. The first time you open the Assistant tab, Haven shows you the model’s name and download size and waits for you to tap “Set Up Assistant” before fetching it from Hugging Face, the public host for open-source models. That request asks for a public model file and sends nothing about you — no financial data, no identity, no usage information. It happens once per model; afterwards the assistant runs fully offline, and you can delete the model at any time in Settings. If you never open the Assistant, this request never happens. Hugging Face is operated by a third party and may log standard web request metadata (such as IP address) per its own policy.
Haven's optional one-time unlock is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, payment details, or any other billing information. Purchase entitlement is verified on-device via Apple's StoreKit framework.
Haven is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
